About the IOD

The IOD Northern Ireland Division is one of the most active in the IOD thoughout the UK. With over 1000 members and committees that involve over 100 active participants, there is a real opportunity to become more involved in the business community though networking and engagement with other companies, politicians, the voluntary sector and local government.

In addition the IOD provides members with access to free legal advice, business advice and research. Responding to government policies, both locally and nationally is becoming more important and the response papers are available for all members to see on the IOD web site in the Northern Ireland section. Lobbying is now a part of the day to day business life, and the IOD has met with all the Ministers and major political parties within the last six months, as well as making representations to many committees about the views of the business community.
