The calm before the storm
For all the talk of recession and depression the consumer (electorate) does not yet seem to have been affected. The financial announcements of doom and gloom in the financial markets were worrying at first but have now been discounted. Unless you are unlucky enough to lose your job or operate in construction industry there has been little direct impact.
